Block Rate Policy The block rate is open to anyone who places $5,000 on account to start with, then maintains at least $2,000 on account after that. As your account reaches $2,000, simply place more funds on account to maintain status in the block rate program. Should your account drop below $2,000 before the start of a lesson, it will be billed at our normal rates, currently $20/hr more for the aircraft. This policy allows Summit to devote our resources to those students who are training on a regular schedule, and it allows us to better plan for aircraft and instructor demand. Refund Policy Upon request of the customer, it is Summit Helicopter's policy to refund money placed on account, less those funds already used by the customer, less a $50 admin fee. Funds advanced by a lending company will be returned to the lending company. The $50 fee will be waived if you have finished your scheduled training with Summit. Summit Helicopters is a pay-as-you-go school, we do not consider funds earned until training has been provided. The two exceptions to this rule are Ground School Classes and the Unlimited Simulator Time Program. Ground School Class funds will be considered earned 10 days from the date of the first scheduled lesson. Unlimited Simulator Time funds will be considered earned after 5 hours of simulator time has been provided. If a student withdraws from either prior to those dates, a pro-rated refund will be provided at standard hourly rates. That's it, no complex fees, no contract, no fine print.
